Vocational & Higher Education

Sonoma County is home to a well-attended, four-year institution, Sonoma State University, as well as a high performing community college, Santa Rosa Junior College. As a member of the California State University system and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Sonoma State has been recognized as a “Best Regional University” by U.S. News and World Report and is dedicated to providing its students a quality liberal arts and science education. Santa Rosa Junior College has also been received by both the community and the nation as one of the top 100 two-year colleges in the nation. Numerous students who get there start at Santa Rosa Junior College move forward to further their education at four-year universities.
